What Is Stress?
Stress is a word that is bandied about with impunity nowadays. However, in my experience, not many people truly realise what stress is. So many of my clients come to me saying 'I'm not stressed'. However, if you have a problem of some kind that is troubling you, then that is a sign that there is an unresolved 'stressor' of some kind.
Stress is anything that causes the body's energy system to go out of balance.
- Emotional stress - unresolved anxiety and emotions, etc.
- Chemical stress - chemicals, drugs, alcohol, etc.
- Physical stress - pain, broken bones, etc.
- Environmental stress - electricity, radiation, geopathic stress, etc.
Nowadays, we are all under stress, if only from the polluted air we breathe, and the polluted water and food we ingest. We are surrounded by electrical fields inside and out, radiation from TVs, computers, mobile phones and microwaves and so on. Add to this the daily onslaught of 'murder and mayhem' in the news and on TV, our own problems and our friends' problems - they all take their toll on a daily basis.
The body has an innate ability to heal itself. Therefore, after a minor stress it will automatically rebalance itself. However, major ongoing stress is less easily resolved, and if it remains unresolved, it begins to upset your system so much that you begin to present symptoms.
ANY negative symptom, physical, mental or emotional, is a sign that you are stressed in some way. If it remains unresolved, the symptoms will get worse. We ignore the messages from our body at our peril, and the longer we ignore them, usually, the harder they are to reverse. Our body will cope for so long, but there comes a time when it says enough is enough and it makes us listen!
It is no coincidence that in our 40's and 50's we start to get niggling aches and pains and things start to go downhill. There comes a point in time when our body says, 'I have coped with this for so long, but I am exhausted and I can't do it any longer', and it starts to let us down one way or another.
THE GOOD NEWS IS - it is, in fact, usually quite easy to address most aspects of stress with excellent results with EFT and Kinesiology.
